What parents are saying…

“Hulda Haughton is a disciple of Maria Montessori, in the truest sense. She appreciates, understands, and believes in the Montessori philosophies that babies and children are fully capable and self-governed towards growth. Our daughter has been at MFA for almost two years so almost every major milestone has been aided by Hulda and her incredible co-teachers. We been astounded by our daughter’s confidence, manners, relational skills, and independence through out her time at MFA. She talks about Hulda and her classmates with devotion. And she knows her letters, colors, shapes, and continents to boot! Other daycares & preschool’s do not have Hulda Haughton. To have someone so well-educated and loving taking care of our daughter each day has given us great peace of mind. So much so, that we commute almost 2 hours a day to keep her at Montessori for All. Hulda sees our child (and others) in all of her intricacies and is able to be specific to the individual. This is Hulda’s incredible gift to the parents and children.”

“I feel that our daughter is safe and cared for at Montessori for All. (Hulda) truly follows the child and has a unique relationship with each one of the students in her class, really taking the time to get to know them and their families. My daughter is currently really into puzzles and Hulda has gone out of her way to support this interest and present her with new challenges! I also especially like that they have started building outdoor time into the day alongside the regular indoor work and practical life activities. It makes for a very well rounded day. My child has blossomed since starting at Montessori for All. She is extremely independent, has made friends and developed social skills, and her language development has been incredible. She is also potty trained at 2 which I credit to Hulda’s patience with her through the process! She always meets her where she is and does not put any pressure on her (about using the potty or anything else). The relationships are what really sets Montessori for All apart. My daughter loves Hulda and her assistant teacher Awa like members of the family and I believe they love her back just as much. It is amazing to know there are other adults outside of our family who care about my child so much. She is thriving and I think this is why, above any materials or activities. More broadly, the community of families at the school has been an amazing addition to all of our lives. With such a small class you really get to know the other families and it has been a big source of support.”

“We were first drawn to the strong Montessori foundation of the program; the beautiful classroom filled with interesting materials; that there is little to no plastic in the classroom; and that even the younger babies are able to move around and work on gross motor movement and other appropriate activities without being confined to various baby containers & seats (unlike what we saw happening at many other daycares). What we came quickly to love about Montessori for All is the warm and nurturing environment that Hulda fosters—our kiddo absolutely adores Hulda and Awa and all of the assistant teachers! Our daughter has thrived during her time at Montessori for All! We have seen firsthand the ways that Montessori for All fosters independence, kindness, curiosity, and social skills. From when she first started going to the program as an eleven-month-old until now, our kiddo has come home from Montessori for All surprising us with her new skills—going down a slide by herself, peeling an orange, saying please and thank you, blowing her nose, talking about the continents and planet earth, identifying letters and numbers, understanding traffic lights…. and more! Hulda makes Montessori for All special! Hulda is a truly gifted and visionary educator. She brings years of teaching experience to her expertise on child development and is a keen and insightful observer of each of her students. She noticed some aspects of our child’s developing personality and emerging skills before we did! The children learn through song (including some beautiful ones of Hulda’s own invention), work with materials (true to Montessori principles), hands-on activities like cooking, special enrichment activities based on children’s storybooks, and play. Hulda always models compassionate and respectful behavior and language for the children—and her influence is easy to see in the classroom and at home!”

“Hulda's passion, expertise, & warmth drew us to the program. And then what really sealed the deal for us is seeing how much our child loves being there & how well he is cared for by Hulda & Awa! Finally, we are grateful for the community of parents that we have met. When I hear about all the amazing things my child is learning at Montessori For All it brings me such joy! Whether it's naming the continents, growing microgreens, or counting odd numbers, the manner in which new information is taught always seems exciting, creative, and engaging. I think that there is an incredible individualized approach taken with each child. The way that Hulda trusts and respects our children is truly unparalleled.”

“Montessori For All was my sons first school environment and even though it was a difficult transition, his confidence and sense of independence has flourished. He loves his routine and tells us all about the songs and books that he enjoys with the other students. Also, his vocabulary has grown tremendously. Hulda! Her calm leadership is exactly what my son (and me) needed to build confidence in transitioning to school.”

- Taryn, mom to E.

“Hulda and Awa are so kind and gentle with the children. The flexible time options are exactly what we need. My son’s language acquisition has been amazing, he is articulate and can communicate his feelings, thoughts, and needs effectively. He also has gained social skills, at the playground he successfully approaches children and asks them to play with him. It’s so sweet. Hulda is an incredibly gifted teacher, who has helped our son develop a secure social and academic foundation.”

-Ashley, mom to C.

“Montessori For All had provided endless opportunities for my son to learn and grow, both in the traditional “milestones”, but more importantly social and emotional skills. Hulda provides a safe and comforting environment for all the children to thrive and grow at their own pace - which is really a dream. My son has been attending MFA since he was 4 months old, so almost all his “big steps” have been there. I think his advanced speech and overall comfort being with people outside his immediate family has been immeasurable but certainly due to his time at MFA. Personal attention, care, and bonding. I looked at a lot of daycares in the neighborhood and truthfully they would have been “fine”, but I felt like my child would have been a number. Since I needed to find childcare stating at 4 months of age it was extremely important that I find a situation when the caretaker would bond with my child. I couldn’t ask for a more sensitive and in-tune teacher than Hulda.”
